Hola-
Now it is mid-April. A time when April showers bring may flowers. I hope this refers to clients onboarding and implementing new processes. A lot of my conversations this week have been in Spanish. It’s been a challenge to say the least, but it definitely does make things a bit more interesting. I want to grow my expertise in this niche, whereby learning and nurturing relationships with engineers in Mexico and South America. They have a different culture, and way of communicating. I like it. I feel like they’re usually 1-2 steps behind tech capital California, which could be an opportunity for me to introduce it to them. We’ll see where this all goes.
Key interest areas and buzzwords:
“Enterprise Heroku”
Availability
Observability & Security
SOC II Type 2, PCI DSS Level 1, HIPAA, HITRUST, and GDPR compliant
Control Plane is now defined as a “Virtual cloud platform delivering cloud-native maturity.”
Interesting profile:
Software company out of Monterrey, MX that builds payment systems and software for gambling machines in casinos (like putting your credit card into a slot machine). Interesting use-case of software enable payment systems and on-prem data storage environments. They seemed intrigued with Control Plane with our multi-environment controls and global virtual cloud.
Strategic Outreach:
Cold-emails haven’t been working, cold-calls haven’t been working, but direct messaging and organic casual-based conversations have been working. People want friends and authentic connections. They don’t want to be sold, but they do want to buy from people they like.
KPIs for 4/14-4/19:
Accepted LinkedIn Connection Requests: 76
VM/Videos Messages Sent: 54
Scheduled Meetings: 8
Completed Meetings: 7
Goals for the Upcoming Week:
Get 10 new meetings booked
Target software companies from Mexican VC portfolio companies
